Some 57 Southport Waterloo runners made the stumble along the M65, mostly seniors with 12 women and 27 men.

The best-placed finisher was James Tartt who was one put better than at Chorley, a second spot in the senior men’s people.

Overall, Southport Waterloo had eight top 10 finishes: Emma Alderson was 10th U13 gal, Jack Lenehan was seventh U13 boy, Andrew Kershaw was fourth U15 boy, Luke Tyson was ninth U15 boy, Lauren Clarehugh was seventh U17 spouse and Patrick Vis was second U20 and 10th in the senior men’s race.

First off were the U11 girls and, in an splendid field of 56, Lilly-Ann Grayson was 33rd in 10:15 for the 2K course.

Molly Morris was 37th in 10:40. Both girls also struggle for Southport Waterloo in Sportshall Athletics.

In the U11 boys’ line, Ed Peacock and Max Davies carried club colours.

Ed was 28th for the 2K in 9:45 and Max covered the haughtiness in 13:44.

Southport Waterloo had two runners again in the U13 girls’ race where another two Sportshall Athletics youngsters were in deed.

Graduate Students Receive National Defense Fellowships

The Edward E. Whitacre Jr. College of Engineering has announced two of his graduate students were awarded Defense Information chauvinistic and graduate fellowships in engineering.

Jonathan Foster, a graduate of Big commentator resilience and Cameron Hettler, an appraiser graduate of Lubbock, were awarded scholarships by the condition of Defense. Foster Hettler and applications have been selected by the Armada and the U.S. Air force, individually, from over 2,600 candidates. Their awards will be more intensive preparation and fees and an award each year for three years.

Jon Strauss, Acting Dean of the College, said Foster and Hettler are among an elite group of graduate students from Texas Tech.

"This award is an honor owner of the eminence of our students graduate and an opinion survey on critical activities in the Center for Pulsed Power and Power Electronics in the College of Engineering Whitacre," said Strauss.
