In promotional information on its www.thecharlestonboatshow.com website, affair organizers note there are nearly 500,000 registered boats in South Carolina, based on S.C. Unit of Natural Resources figures.

“That translates to a huge audience of runabout owners, would-be owners, and people who just like being out on the water,” show backers say.

Those boaters and wannabees are honestly well off, too, based on on-site surveys by the show’s producer JBM & Associates.

For Band Taylor/Parker-Mowbray this was the last selector in the series for the Worlds and Secondary Europeans teams. After a jinxed start to the mature, we were out to show that we could get in the mix at the front of the task force.
