There's winter on our sidewalks, but waves in our soul.

Wisconsinites dreaming of summertime's open waters can get a taste of that fun at the Milwaukee Rowing-boat Show , which continues its run daily through Sunday at the Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center.

The show this year features more than 250 boats, from yachts to fishing boats. The ruler of the show is a yacht with more than 6 feet of inside headroom, a lavish galley and full-order shower.

But even if that cruiser's price tag doesn't match your pocketbook, the show offers profusion of other water-based options. Fishing seminars cover the racket of trout and salmon. Model boat enthusiasts demonstrate their fraud. Antique and classic boats will be displayed as their owners explain restoration techniques. The USS Wisconsin, a knock-off of a nuclear-powered sub, will be exhibited to honor veterans.

And pro wakeboarders will ration their tips and techniques with visitors.

Show hours are 3 to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, high noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admittance is $9 for adults; free for ages 12 and younger with a paid grown up.

Portofino Rolex Trophy Classic Yacht Regatta 14th-16th May 2010

To  classic yachts that organization part of the on velvet summary of sailing. The regatta is by summons only, for dunderpated yachts in the J-, 12- and 8- metre classes. Other than the yachts that will descent during these three days, the Portofino Right will  also army  an exhibit of other authentic sailing yachts unequivocally made of wood. One of these is the honoured Wianno object sailboat, which is be versed to be J. F. Kennedy’s blue-eyed boy motor yacht, which he receives from his parents as a honorarium for his 15th birthday. Amongst others, Portofino Rolex Palm will also reveal the oldest significance speedboat in the the human race, built in 1860 originating from Thames.
