SAN DIEGO ---- Two years after being declared all but disused in the water, the San Diego Sunroad Boat Show is sailing into port again next weekend stronger than ever.

Last year, the Nationalistic Marine Manufacturers association canceled its 20th annual San Diego show, saying that the decline had swamped boat sales. But the operators of Sunroad Resort Marina in San Diego evident to try producing their own show under the Sunroad banner. The result ---- the first San Diego Sunroad Row-boat Show in January 2011 ---- was a huge success, with virtually all of the exhibitor slots in the marina sold out in aid and record attendance.

This year's show ---- from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Jan. 28 ---- will be even larger than last year's occasion, according to show director Jim Behun, who's also general manager of Sunroad.

The show will spotlight more than 100 new and used sailboats and motor yachts berthed at slips in the marina. There will also be dozens of seagoing vendor selling nautical products and food and drink booths. There will be ship rides for children and adults, boating seminars and more.
