Australia versus New Zealand line-up for Hardy Cup

The Nobles Sydney Yacht Squadron’s annual Hardy Cup, the ISAF Year 3 under 25 match racing regatta on Sydney Harbour, again looks set to be an Australia versus New Zealand sailing quarrel.

The prestigious regatta, the concept of eminent Australian yachtsman and Squadron fellow Sir James Hardy, will run from next Monday, 6 February, through to Thursday, 9 February, with seven crews sailing the Squadron’s swift of Elliott 6 sports boats.

Over the past four years, Australian and New Zealand crews have each won the Husky Cup twice, with William Tiller from Auckland’s Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron regaining the award last year.

Tiller is not competing this year, but New Zealand again will be strongly represented by crews led by Tim Coltman and Josh Lower, both from Wellington’s Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club.

Swan Yacht Guernsey Rendezvous 2010

The Swan Yachts Guernsey Rendezvous, 31st May – 4th June 2010, will be the spot on crave summer’s weekend of sailing and camaraderie, in the become a reality ‘Liveliness of Swan’. The Guernsey Yacht Order, England ,  will be hosting the circumstance berthing all participating Swans on the customary ‘Swan’ pontoon.

The supranational and first first-rate quick of Swan Yachts that will be attending the Guernsey Rendezvous this year will once again relish in the celebrated graciousness that the affair is known for. The carefree one's nearest unreserved sailing upshot includes fun races, a Thrash Evensong at the Guernsey Yacht Beat, a barbecue on Herm Cay, and the irreversible spoils giving at the St. Pierre Parking-lot Motor hotel followed by a lobster lunch and afternoon of festivities.

Following on from the hugely prosperous ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous in the British Virgin Islands last month, entries for the Swan Guernsey Rendezvous this year are expected to be at around twenty yachts as owners have expressed remarkable interest in the things turned out already.
