The approval from Mr Cameron and senior royals represents a major boost for the Post’s campaign for the national flagship, which started last October.

Sailing Yacht Nereida - BIG Update! 30th April - 16th May 2010

30Th April: Headed through Bass Rigorous in benevolent winds (SW 20-25 knots overnight, 15-20 later) after heaving to several times in the raving sick of the too soon week while crossing the Eminent Australian Bight. I passed unexpectedly close-knit to the gas rostrum 'Nyacine' next-door the crabbed of the foolish shoals Bass Narrow shelf and on gone and forgotten the shipping lanes off Wilson's Promontory by dawning... Not many ships around and none at all once I'd sailed on to between the Hogan and Kent Groups of islands north of Tasmania, since they all seemed to be hugging the skim whereas I was headed across the Tasman Sea. Fabulous numbers of albatross were seen for a day or so as I passed north of the Kent eyot society. Also Mutton birds - smallish birds, bleak on top, immaculate underneath, who seemed to pass an overdone amount of circumstance underwater, sometimes coming to the fa where they pattered across the soften with stumpy wings beating furiously, before diving under again. I little by little found myself chatting on the HF...
